Perfect for friends seeking comfort
The location was great for exploring nearby restaurants and cafes, made it easy to find good food! Plus, I loved the luggage storage service. It was a lifesaver for our group when we wanted to roam freely before catching our train.
Not the cheapest option out there, but honestly, it was still worth it.

Great room layout and super comfortable bed! The shower was powerful, and the toiletries were great. Staff were so friendly-shoutout to Heyman for the best coffee. Coin laundry on every floor was handy too. Loved the vibe at the downstairs bar! 🥳

My recent stay was for a family trip to Kyoto, and the location was quite convenient with easy access to local attractions like Nishiki Market just a short walk away. The room was cozy and well-designed, though on the smaller side. It was great to have self-service amenities like extra towels and teabags available on each floor. While I missed having a functioning fridge for baby food prep, the staff were very accommodating and helped us heat food. Overall, it was a decent experience for a budget-friendly option.

The location could be inconvenient for some, being a 10-15 minute walk from the nearest train station!!! Room cleaning every four days means no fresh towels if you're there for a short stay!!! Slight morning noise from housekeeping might disrupt your rest!!!

Rooms were clean and comfortable with good A/C.
My family faced significant issues with the room. The fridge was non-functional, which hindered us from preparing meals for our toddler. Also, the laundry facilities were inadequate. the dryer failed to do its job despite multiple cycles. All of this added to a disappointing and frustrating experience.

missingWrote a review on 19 Octstrong waterconvenient amenitieshelpful staffsmall room
The bathroom had strong water pressure, making showers refreshing. Access to amenities like tea and towels is convenient. they're available in the hallway on each floor. Staff made my stay easier, particularly during check-in and check-out. However, the room was quite small, which can feel cramped, especially with a frosted window limiting natural light. Location requires a bit of walking to reach the subway, around 10-15 minutes, but is generally quiet. I also had a minor issue with the temperamental thermostat in the shower which can be frustrating. Overall, I appreciated the friendly service and practical features, but the compactness of the room and some functionality issues could be improved.

Kabin Kyoto had some epic culinary finds nearby! I can't stop raving about the grilled meat at Tonshabu Hide, just a short stroll away. Also, the staff gave stellar recommendations, including a must-try at Ippudo Nishiki-Koji. Plus, the vibe in the lobby’s cocktail bar was fantastic and perfect for winding down after a day of exploring.
But let’s be real. this is a BUDGET hotel, not a proper 4-star. The wet carpet smell lingered for our 4-day stay, and the noise insulation? Non-existent. I could hear every footstep outside! To top it off, the sink is in the middle of the room—what’s up with that? Honestly, not feeling the price for this setup.

Spacious, clean, and modern rooms exceeded expectations with great self-service amenities like accessible towels and a fantastic coffee experience that impressed even Melbourne coffee lovers. The location is convenient for exploring with nearby cafes, though the laundry facilities fell short, as the dryer was unreliable during my stay, adding some frustration. Additionally, there was noticeable noise from outside, which could be disruptive at times.
